Eindhoven, 13 February 2024 – Modexpress, specialised in global fashion fulfilment, has implemented the ZetesMedea warehouse solution with RFID hardware for checking all orders of SuitSupply. By optimising their warehouse processes, the logistics service provider has managed to check significantly more orders with a much smaller hardware estate. During these checks, the EPC codes of all clothing items and accessories are verified by scanning an RFID tag with an accuracy  of 99,7%.

Order verification

Modexpress is a logistics service provider for fashion companies, with seven warehouses in the Netherlands, an area of 165,000 m2 and around 800 employees in peak periods. Suitsupply, a major Modexpress customer for fifteen years, asked the company to implement a solution for checking the EPC codes of all products in outgoing orders using RFID technology. To this end, an automation solution consisting of ZetesMedea software and Zebra RFID hardware has been implemented. Via the ZetesMedea software, all scanned codes are automatically transferred to Modexpress’ ERP. The data is then shared in real time with Suitsupply’s order management system.

B-to-B and B-to-C orders

“Modexpress approached us to replace an RFID solution that they used to check the B-to-B orders for Suitsupply”, says Paul Lankhout, Country Manager of Zetes Netherlands. “By contributing ideas for optimisation possibilities because the peak times for processing B2B and B2C orders differ, we have succeeded in substantially increasing the efficiency of all order verifications. Modexpress now has an RFID solution to check both B-to-B orders and B-to-C orders for Suitsupply with higher accuracy. But also the flexibility to start verifying orders for other customers with just a few adjustments.”

Knowledge, experience and confidence

Modexpress has chosen Zetes as the provider of their RFID solution on the basis of existing knowledge, expertise and confidence in their collaborative relationship. “When looking for suppliers, Zetes soon attracted our attention due to their logistics specialisation and the fact that they are located close by”, says IT Manager Dave van Alem. “Subsequently, there was a familiar click from the initial contact, because of the way they provided input on the best solution and its implementation. Thanks to a few process optimisations, we can now check up to three times as many products with less hardware than before. The new RFID solution has also become more versatile in its deployment.”
