Hamburg, Brussels, 19 December 2013 - Between February 16th to 20th 2014, supply chain solutions provider Zetes will be showcasing a virtual in-store experience at its stand (A23 in Hall 7) at EuroCIS. The 'Zetes Store' allows a range of different in-store processes to be simulated, giving visitors the chance to experience at first hand what the working day is like for: retail sales staff, an IT manager based at headquarters, or a picker in the central distribution centre.

The live demonstration offers practical insights into the ZetesAthena and ZetesMedea solutions, which form part of the Zetes Collaborative Supply Chain Suite. A smart in-store management solution, ZetesAthena allows retailers with multiple stores to nurture customer loyalty to individual shops and their brand by guaranteeing optimised processes. These include the ability to verify adequate stock levels and provide rapid information about the location and availability of any item.

ZetesMedea (Logistics Execution) is used to ensure flexible control and optimisation of all logistics processes at warehouse level. At EuroCIS it is shown in combination with voice technology for the simulation of warehouse processes. The MCL Mobility Platform is the nerve centre of Zetes’ solutions, via which an IT staff member can remotely manage a variety of mobile devices and applications for a large branch network. IT managers can witness the simple and efficient handling of the central software for themselves. With its presence at the Hamburg event, Zetes is targeting national and international chain stores in the non-food, electronics, toys, clothing and shoe sectors, as well as toiletries and decorative items.

ZetesAthena - intelligent in-store management

The ZetesAthena in-store management solution is designed to boost trade levels within retail stores by enabling sales staff to provide customers with real time information about product availability. A mobile terminal tells them whether the product is available in the store, the store warehouse, in another branch or the central warehouse, allowing them to give an immediate and satisfactory reply to customer queries. The mobile solution thus increases customer satisfaction and retains the customer to the store and brand, a valuable advantage for chain stores that want to use service as their differentiating feature against online competitors. Functions including managing incoming goods inventory, pricing, shelf replenishment, display of product information to supporting Click & Collect, the ZetesAthena can be managed easily and centrally – without the need for significant IT investment.

Commenting on Zetes’ presence at EuroCIS, Uwe Hennig, General Manager of Zetes GmbH said, “In the food retail trade, Zetes has a long tradition in the field of efficient order picking. With ZetesAthena we offer our existing and prospective retail customers effective in-store management solutions, including at branch level.”

ZetesMedea - Process optimisation in the warehouse

ZetesMedea (Logistics Execution) is used to ensure the flexible control and optimisation of all logistics processes in the field of warehouse logistics. The solution is geared towards error-free process optimisation at low cost, which provides real-time visibility. It does so by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as RFID, optical detection by a camera system and voice and can be integrated via standard connectors to virtually any inventory control and ERP system.

MCL Mobility Platform

With the hardware and operating system independent MCLTM Mobility platform, Zetes delivers a system that a customer can continue to develop itself, in accordance with the open source principle. The solution allows applications, updates and releases from headquarters to be quickly and easily managed with minimal effort over a large branch network via cloud-based handheld devices. The customer benefits from a fast ROI (Return on Investment) and, on account of the monthly rental model, has no high initial investment. In addition, the MCL Mobility platform allows extended solutions including Zetes Track & Trace, POD (Proof of Delivery) and storage solutions to be swiftly implemented.

OPEX instead of CAPEX is Zetes’ motto

Zetes’ Managed Service models enable its customers to remain competitive without taking too many risks, all for a fixed monthly price. Based on market intelligence, Zetes realises the importance of flexibility for customers and offers the solutions of its Collaborative Supply Chain Suite on a monthly rental basis, whereby they can be financed using operating expenses. Under a Managed Service contract, Zetes supplies customers with the desired process, the required hardware and software, full maintenance and even takes back the entire solution once the contract period expires.
