London (England), 30 November 2021 – Zetes has been chosen by Dufry, the leading travel retailer, to enhance the visibility and accuracy of their inventory processes across their World Duty Free business in the UK. By upgrading their ZetesAthena solution, Dufry will benefit from greater control over their stock taking as well as gain access to real-time data across their entire UK network.
As the world’s leading travel retailer serving 2.5 billion potential customers globally, Dufry leads the UK travel retail market, selling an unparalleled selection of premium products across 112 stores in 43 different locations under the World Duty Free brand.
To keep up with the demands of modern retail operations, Dufry required an agile solution, with increased automation to maximise efficiency and accuracy within their inventory counting processes. Having worked with Zetes for over 10 years, Dufry chose to deploy the next generation ZetesAthena solution across its UK operations.
Increased Visibility and Automation
Parts of their process which were previously more manual are now automated, eliminating the time and expense associated with manual counting. The agile solution provides greater visibility to the administrative team, enabling early issue diagnostics and the efficient identification of unreconciled counts. This higher level of automation and visibility will lead to a reduction in the number of rescheduled stock audits and unnecessary duty payments that arise due to counting errors. It will also improve labour productivity, empowering the team with faster inventory counts.
Alongside this new stock auditing system, Dufry has enhanced its connectivity within stores enabling its devices to upload inventory data directly to the system during the count, removing bottlenecks and reducing the number of devices required. As a cloud-based solution, ZetesAthena is able to provide real-time access to stock auditing results from any location, seamlessly integrating directly into Dufry’s main ERP system. Through its increased accuracy and real-time reporting functionalities, the solution gives Dufry better control of their stock, helping to eliminate visibility gaps between the moment goods arrive in store and the moment they are sold.
