We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Business Solutions Group in South Africa (Johannesburg Office).

Job purpose

The Business Analyst reports to the Business Consultant and will be working closely with the Application Development Team to write the specifications of software and ensure that the software delivered to the customers delivers on the business requirements and with the right level of quality, user experience and security in accordance with the Company standards.

You’ll work in a diverse environment, covering the entire spectrum of solutions within Zetes. You'll work alongside the client’s staff on each project, conducting functional requirement analysis, assisting with recommendation as well as preparing the implementation with the Project Manager. This includes facilitating working sessions with front-line and supervisors, connecting with and motivating the client team, or developing skills of team members when appropriate, principally through training.

Your main responsibilities as Business Analyst are:

  •  Pre-Project:
    • Assist the Business Consultant and Business Development Manager with identifying and scoping of customers’ needs and translate these into workflows and user cases.
    • Draft Work Orders, Change Requests and Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
    • Be the Functional Analyst for ZetesChronos Electronic Proof-of-Delivery and liaise with the Global Product Management Team
    • Assist with solution demonstrations
  • Project:
    • Responsible for the writing and sign-off of the Functional Design Specification document
    • Assist with the drafting of the Technical Design Specification (TDS) and project Charter
    • Responsible for the Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing
    • Responsible for the Super-User Training and Training Documentations
    • Provide post go-live support and handholding to super-users during the transition phase
  • Provide support to the internal Customer Success Team during the handover to Service Level Agreement and Operational Level Agreement.
  • Contribute the Continuous Improvement of the Business Solutions Group
  • Draft standard documentation and templates, for use by BSG and other internal teams

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in IT, Engineering, Business Administration or Equivalent.
  • Relevant Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or Information Systems.
  • Experience in projects related to ERP, WMS, TMS, WCS solutions preferable
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or Software Implementation Consultant role
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an IT organization with preferably exposure to external clients
  • Fully computer literate (Android and Office365: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI is a plus).
  • Basic knowledge of networking technologies and protocols
  • Experience in working with relational databases and Cloud environment
  • Some programming knowledge is a plus
