Project/Program Management

Zetes offers program management and project management depending upon the size/scope of a project. In both cases, Zetes employs currently accepted best practices for project management. Project management is used for smaller implementations, while the more elaborate program management is used for large and complex projects. These projects typically involve pan-European or international deployments and/or the development and integration of new technologies.

For example, project management includes the identification of the internal and external required competencies; definition of the project plan including: scope definition, definition of roles and responsibilities, definition of the deliverables ( such as hardware, software, documentation, training, support procedures,...), definition of WBS, definition of project schedule, and definition of acceptance criteria; assisting logistics with purchase of hardware & licenses; follow-up of the suppliers’ deliveries (coordination of the logistics); follow-up invoicing; managing subcontractors appointed by the customer or ZETES; adhering to the internal rules and regulations at the customer site; monitoring the progress; organising project kick-off and progress meetings; managing issues and changes; organising the training; performing quality management; taking responsibility for the timeliness and quality level of the deliverables; obtaining provisional acceptance; and obtaining final acceptance.

Program management is a key element in most of our People ID projects, such as the Belgian eID card project, where Zetes has been awarded the global coordination of the project by the Belgian Federal Government; and the enrolment solutions delivered by Zetes PASS in countries such as Togo and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where we succeeded in managing no less than 20 sub-contractors for the assembly of 10,000 biometric enrolment kits, in an 8-week period and provided 25,000 local operators and technicians with technical support and training.
